Hey, I'm Tehan. I work at HSBC in Colombo, study Data Science at SLIIT, and spend my free time watching football.

Longer version

Hey, I'm Tehan. I grew up in Maharagama, in Colombo, on a big piece of land with three houses on it, and my cousins lived in all of them. Add the uncles, and it was never short of people.

It started with little games on Facebook. Later it was GTA: San Andreas. Then I started learning to edit pictures and videos, and I played around in FL Studio and made some tunes.

The other thing I was obsessed with was books. I could read from morning to night. I once finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in a single day.

School was great, and I enjoyed going. I went to Royal Institute International School, then Mahanama College. I learned a lot from my teachers, but when something caught my interest, I'd look it up on the internet and teach myself the rest.

Looking back, it's not a big jump from there to what I do now. I've always liked working out how things fit together. At HSBC that means careful checks, and making things clear for the next person. At SLIIT it's data science, where I'm learning to turn messy numbers into something you can actually read.

Then there's football. I support Manchester United and Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo played for both, and he's my favourite player. I stayed up late to watch him when I was young, and I still do.

I also like eating, and I like trying new food, so if you know a good place in Colombo, tell me.

I'm still early in my career, and in my degree. I'd like to build something, and I'm excited to see what comes next. If you want to chat, say hi.
